Description
Century by Alfred Dunhill is a fresh and spicy fragrance for men. It came out in 2018 and was made by perfumer Carlos Benaïm.
At first spray, Century smells very bright and fresh. You get juicy citrus right away.
Mandarin orange smells sweet and juicy, like fresh orange peel.
Grapefruit and bergamot add a sharp, clean citrus bite that wakes up your nose fast.
Very quickly, the scent turns bold and powerful.
Neroli (from orange blossoms) takes over. It smells clean, floral, and slightly soapy—but here it is strong and intense, not soft. This is where the fragrance becomes what many describe as “aggressively fresh.” It pushes out into the air and projects hard, meaning people around you will notice it.
As it settles, the other notes support the neroli instead of fighting it.
Frankincense (olibanum) adds a light spicy, smoky feel, like warm incense in the background.
Cardamom gives a gentle spicy warmth without making it heavy.
In the dry down, the fragrance hits again with a deep, earthy twist.
Cypriol oil (nagarmotha) smells woody, slightly dirty, and earthy—like fresh soil after rain.
Sandalwood comes in smooth and creamy, with a soft nutty feel.
Musk helps everything feel clean and skin-like.
Together, the neroli and cypriol blend in a surprising way. The scent feels like a clean white flower floating over warm earth, with sandalwood keeping it smooth and balanced. It is fresh, bold, and very clear in the air.
